What's in a report

Everything a report holds, field by field.

Every report is one edition about one trial: an executive summary and analysis for people, and the same evidence as structured JSON for your AI agent. This page lists what each part holds and what each person card carries, with a real excerpt you can download.

A sample your agent can read

The excerpt is the free IDeate-Lung01 report as the Erudio MCP serves it, cut to one finding, two of its claims, their sources and speakers. Values are real. The full free report is about 1 MB.

shell
# The excerpt
curl https://www.erudio.com/report-sample.json

# The full free report, no key needed
curl https://mcp.erudio.com/library/erudio-nct05280470/report.json

# Or from any MCP client, free
read_report({ "report_id": "erudio-nct05280470", "sections": ["all"] })

Download the sample to see every field below in place. A licensed report has the same shape, for its own trial.

Agents can read a report whole or in parts. The For agents page covers the formats and the MCP server.

For people

analysis
The detailed analysis, in Markdown, with the same claim citations.

report.json

Findings and evidence

aspects
The questions the trial's registry record raises, such as the primary endpoint or safety. Each says whether clinicians discussed it, with its claims and limits.
findings
The clinician interpretations: a title, the observation, the interpretation, counterviews, limitations, open questions for Medical Affairs and the claims behind it.
verified_claims
Every verified statement, in Erudio's words: who said it, whether it is a view, a question or a restated result, its conditions, and the passage it rests on with a link to the original.
claim_ids
The ID of every verified claim in the edition.
evidence_units
The passages claims rest on: a span of a source, who it is attributed to and a link to that moment where the host supports it. Source text is not included.
source_context_unit_ids
The passages that introduce or frame a speaker, kept apart from what the speaker said.
sources
Every podcast, video, post and registry record reviewed: title, link, kind, retrieval time and a content hash.
statement_counts
How many statements are counted, and which are listed but not counted because they repeat another.
quotation
The quotation rule: claims are in Erudio's words, with at most one excerpt of up to 25 words per reference.
report.json

People

people
One card per person who spoke: name, role, specialty, qualification, claim count, CMS-reported financial relationships and identifiers.
accounts
Organizations and publishers that posted commentary, such as a journal or a news outlet, kept apart from people.
cms_financial_relationships
The CMS Open Payments publication used, the trial's companies and how each was matched, and the caveat that goes with the data.
identity_links
Present when the license does not include identity linkages: what they are and how to add them.
report.json

Coverage and limits

coverage
How completely each source was read, and any gaps in reading or retrieval.
commentary_scope
What the edition covers and what it may miss, stated as known gaps.
limitations
The limits of the report, in plain sentences.
out_of_scope_statements
Statements a screen judged to be about other settings or topics. They are listed with links so you can check the calls, but not counted or used.
People

What a person card carries

Each person who spoke has one card. Names and roles come from a verified identity or from the source itself, never from a guess.

id
The person's ID in this report.
name
The name, from a verified identity or as the source gives it.
role
The clinical role, such as physician.
specialty
The clinical specialty.
qualification
Credentials and setting, such as a practice outside the United States.
claim_count
How many verified claims the person made in this edition.
cms_financial_relationships
Summaries of CMS Open Payments records by company, for speakers linked by a verified NPI. In every license.
identifiers
The person's verified IDs, or a status saying why they are not shown.
profile
With Erudio MCP for organizations: the lookup_profile call for the full profile.

This card is from the sample, as every license without the add-on gets it. The identifiers field always says where the person stands:

included
Your license includes identity linkages: the IDs are on the card.
not_included
Erudio verified this person, but your license does not include identity linkages.
not_verified
No verified identity for this person, so there are no IDs to show.
CMS-reported financial relationships

Who has reported payments, from which companies

Included in every license, in the report reader and the JSON.

For each speaker linked to a verified NPI, the card summarizes their CMS Open Payments records by company: general payments with totals, counts, payment types and program years. Research is shown apart, as institutional or study amounts rather than personal compensation, and ownership is shown apart again. The companies tied to the trial, such as its sponsor, are marked.

Reports show summaries only, never individual payments. The data covers US physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, and each program year is published about six months after it ends. A record does not show why a clinician holds a view, and a missing record does not show that no financial relationship exists. Public report pages and previews do not show this data.

Identity add-on

Verified IDs, with a 12-month plan

Every report names and describes its speakers. The identity add-on adds their verified IDs, at $15 per identity-verified person, capped at the report's one-edition price.

NPI
From the NPPES registry. Connects the person to the expert and insight records your team keeps by NPI.
X
Author ID, username and link.
Bluesky
Profile link.
LinkedIn
Profile link.
Web pages
Personal and institutional profile pages.
ORCID and OpenAlex
Verified scholarly identity.
Research affiliations
From publication records, with ROR IDs and active years. Unconfirmed: use the NPI record for where someone practices.

With the add-on, the same card carries the IDs inline, so the JSON stands on its own. The values here are placeholders. A person has only the IDs Erudio has verified for them, and many have only some.

The add-on is sold with 12-month weekly-update plans and covers people verified later in the term at no extra charge. A license you already hold can move to it by paying the difference. It is for scientific and insight work inside your organization, not for promotional targeting or outreach. See pricing.

Not included

What a report does not hold

  • Source transcripts or full source text. Claims are in our words, with short excerpts and links to the originals.
  • Individual payments from CMS Open Payments.
  • Email addresses, phone numbers, scores or rankings of people. A report says what people said, not who to call.
  • A verdict on the trial in Erudio's own voice. Findings describe how clinicians read it. The methods page explains how reports are built and checked.
